I've been using this product for about a month and haven't found anything I don't love about it. It is eco-friendly, it cleans up easily whether you wash it by hand or in dishwasher, and the stainless finish is really attractive. I've only used phosphate-free liquid diswasher product such as Palmolive Eco + and washing by hand any liquid product I have in stock. I had thrown out all teflon and silver brand coated products about a year ago due to possible toxins being in these products and have missed the non-stick cooking. The sandflow/ceramic coating seems really durable. I did make sure to purchase new cooking utensils (wooden spoons, high temp silicone spatula, and thongs with silicone tips.
Love the savings!

I first heard about these pans from my spouse...I then read about them and decided to give them a try.
They are unbelievable. My first use; I put in about 2 tsps of olive oil (like I did w/my old 'non-stick' pans)..well, when I was finished cooking...half the oil was still in the pan! Additionally, it seems food is finished more quickly and no doubt the heat is definitely evenly distributed, based on how the food is cooking/browning. I am saving time at the stove and on cooking oil. Not to mention, clean up is a breeze.I am still in awe and love giving a used pan a quick swipe with a soapy sponge and rinse. Now to find a larger skillet by the same people! |

I have had a KITCHEN AID set, a RACHEL RAY set, CALPHALON, MARTHA STEWART, and various mix and match pieces.....NOTHING compares to this set! Water boils faster, food cooks evenly, clean up is a snap. The sizes are perfect for a family or entertaining... I can even fry onions without oil!!! There is no need to put these in the dishwasher...EVER! Even bacon greese wipes right off. I have had these for 2 months now, and it is the best investment my husband ever made....and the best anniversary gift I could imagine!

We've had our Earthpan cook set for almost 3 months now. Initially, I was somewhat wary of purchasing these based on the mixed reviews; seems people either really love them or really hate them. From reading these reviews, I thought that maybe there may be inconsistencies in the manufacturing process. However, as a big fan of Consumer Reports, I crossed my fingers and held my nose as I placed my order.
The cook set arrived quickly and in perfect shape. No chips, scratches, nicks, or dents. I did note that a rattling noise came from one of the handles of the 8 quart stock pot. Nothing loose or missing but it does rattle. Other than that, they arrived in perfect condition.
After hand-washing the set, I used the 8 inch pan to cook a scrambled egg. The pan was almost too non-stick, if that makes sense. The egg slid around in the pan like it was floating. I was amazed, but then I was used to cooking with pans that had lost (and ingested by me) most of their Teflon surface. Anyway, I was astounded by the non-stick surface of my new pans. Wow!
After using these pans on a daily basis for almost 3 months, I can truthfully say that I'm still very satisfied with my purchase. The non-stick surface is not quite as astounding as it was when the pans were first used but is still very, very good. I use a shot of Pam when cooking eggs and have had no problem with sticking, staining, or any kind of buildup. I've sauteed with canola oil, olive oil, and butter and have had no issues. I hand wash these pans with a soft bristled brush and use only non-metallic utensils. There is not even the slightest scratch on any one of them. I kid-you-not when I say they look as good now as the day they arrived. Furthermore, the stay-cool handles really stay cool - unless they're positioned over a hot eye. I've only cooked on an electric stove-top and haven't tried using them in the oven.
Given my 3 months of near-daily usage, I would highly recommended this cook set to others. I feel others who've been less than happy have legitimate complaints but I've not experienced anything negative to write about. Maybe they're using their cook sets in a different manner or received an defective product. I do wish the set included a 12-inch pan instead of the 10-inch but I plan on buying 12-inch cast iron skillet to fill this void and to provide a pan for high-temp cooking.
If I begin to experience any problems with this cook set, I will update this review accordingly. |

I guess somehow I didn't get the same pan set as some of the folks who left negative feedback on this item. This Earth Pan set is excellent. After searching for a good, non toxic pan set on Consumer Reports, it was between this set, and the Starfrit. This set had more items, and a cheaper price, so I chose it. Boy am I happy I did. Nothing sticks, the heat is oh so evenly distributed, and it is a very attractive bunch of pans. The glass lids are key. Now, I listened to some of the other reviewers and kept a close eye on how much less heat these pans need to cook so I didn't have any burning or sticking issues. You can definitely use a little less heat than with your normal set. I highly recommend this set- great cooking, great tasting food, and a little less pollution in the air, and your body. What could be better?
A great product!

I had been looking for some nonstick cookware for a while and in my research of these products came across a review of this particular cookware set by Consumer Reports. In the past, having found their recommendations helpful with other purchases, I decided to take a closer look at these pans. After using them for a month now I am very pleased. The nonstick property is exceptionally good and my favorite recipes are coming out true to form and clean-up has been very easy. I also like the look and finish of these items. If I have any reservation it would be that I wish they were a little bit lighter in weight, but they handle well and the glass tops make it very easy to see what is going on during cooking--no more guessing on maintaining a low simmer! I would buy this line of cookware again and, in fact, hope to be able to add some extra items to this set!

I love my EcoPan skillet. My mom bought it for me about six months ago. I haven't had anything stick and I can flip eggs like the best of them. I'm planning on buying a set.
Great stuff!

I haven't purchased cookware in more than 20 years. I was waiting for a highly-rated, earth-friendly product. I am extremely satisfied with my Earth Pans! They cook beautifully and clean up so easily. My only complaint is that they tend to retain strong odors from things like spaghetti sauce. I just make sure I clean them immediately after use.

We have been using this cookware since we received it and it is exactly like it says. You almost have to run after the food it slides right out and cleans up just as good. Wise purchase.
Down to Earth cookware.

Finally found a cookware set worth the money. Well built, just like a pro set. I would advise anyone to check this set out before investing big bucks into thoes so called "Pro" cookware sets. This set does just as good of a job of preparing your food as does the big boy sets at a more reasonable price. I selected the stainless set over the aluminum for durability. Found the set listed in Consumers Report, glad I checked it out.

Purchased 10-piece hard anodized set approximately one month ago. Great everyday cookware. Non-stick as advertised. Dishwasher cleaning not recommended but super easy to clean by hand quickly for longevity. Very solid and sturdy build to withstand everyday use. A little pricey, but worth it!

This set represents an excellent value. The non-stick surface releases well, cleans easily, and the pan is thick enough to heat evenly. The glass lids are a plus--they seal well, and allow you to see the contents as it cooks. The handles are long, strong and cool--no potholders required. The process for making the pans is more environmentally friendly, and they were top-rated by Consumer Reports. The Dutch oven is really big (8 qts.)--almost wish it were only 6 qts.

I read about this set of pans at Consumer Report and they gave an excellent review of if. I have owned it for about 2 months now and love it! It looks great and most important, IT IS VERY, VERY AND VERY EASY TO CLEAN. Nothing will stick to it. I made some rice and on purpose I left the pan on the stove much longer than necessary and it did not stick nor burn. I do take good care of it. I only use bamboo utensils or plastic and I wash it by hand (so easy you don't need a dishwasher) and I use a soft sponge. I just wish they would sell separate pots and pans of it. So far the only pan sold separately is the big skillet, which I bought it too. I would love to have an extra dutch oven but I don't think they sell it separately. I guess I'll just have to by another set. Anyway, I loved this set and my husband did too. He often washes them for me and do not complain!

We've been using this product for a couple of months now and absolutley love it. The pots and pans look nice and work extremely well. You will not have any problems with food sticking to them at all! You don't need cooking spray and in fact using cooking spray will diminsh the effectiveness of the non-stick surface. Read and follow the manufacturer's recommendations for use and care and you will not have any problems. A larger sauce pan would have been a nice addition to this set, but this is still a great set. If you purchase this set you will NOT have any regrets!

We purchased this set to replace a stainless steel set of Kirkland cookware and these are fantastic! They are easily comparable and possibly even superior to an earlier set of Kirkland non-stick hard anodized cookware we had a few years back from Costco, but considering these were half the price just makes the whole deal sweeter! Originally we purchased a single large saucepan from Earth Pan and were surprised by the quality of the pan - an easily cleaned, even heating, heavy-duty pan that has taken some serious abuse from us over the past year and hasn't had any problems. We like the saucepan so much that we decided to purchase this set. After many hours of soaking and scrubing the stainless steel ware we were ready to trade in for something easier to clean, like Teflon. However, there are little kids in the home and we didn't want to risk potentially having harmful chemicals floating around from the Teflon. We are currently hand-washing all the set as our old anodized set was sent through the dishwasher all the time and the outer coating eventually came off - not sure if that's bad but it didn't look very good.
Bottom-line: We love this set and with it being currently under $130, we are recommending it to all our friends and family. Even if it were $200, we'd still consider it a good buy. |
